Shoe of the day

Miss Sixty. A great example of a very, very bad design.

Heath Ledger, Eric Dane, Marat Safin

Versace Mansion

Located in the heart of Art Deco district of Miami Beach and previously owned by Gianni Versace, who was murdered on the steps of this magnificent building, this place is truly a piece of art. Versace remodeled the "house" himself with his famous patterns and designs. It is now a five star private invitation only club where many upscale parties and gatherings are held. Members pay $40,000 to join plus $3,600 annually. To stay in one of the 10 rooms runs up to $5,000 a night. The ultimate luxury.

Couture week

Jean Paul Gaultier. Jungle meets the sea and creates some gorgeous creations!

A triple dose of youth

Zac Efron, Shia LaBeouf, Channing Tatum. All very young, fresh and handsome.

Shoe of the day

Loubotin's shoes, photographed by David Lynich - the ultimate shoe fetish. I can't imagine that the laws of physics would allow anyone to stand in them, but fetish isn't about comfort, is it?

‘I tried to keep an element of my drawings, to be faithful to the drawings, with no practicality, just pleasure, thinking of extreme fetish shoes. Usually when you go to the third dimension you lose something, then I wanted to photograph them - I find there’s more emotion with cinematic images. I wanted Lynch’s style and since we’d recently become friends it was natural for me to ask him.’

Nurai Island

HFeeling tired? Want to get away? In need of a little pampering? Well, an Abu Dhabi-based real estate corporation Zaya has the perfect solution. They are creating a new, over the top island resort in the Indian ocean.
The homes are situated over the water surrounding the island and include three bedrooms and four bathrooms occupying around 2000 square meters. These contemporary resort villas indulge the fortunate few with every amenity one could wish for in a home and a private beach, rooftop. Yes, you read correctly, a beach on the top of the house.
And the asking price? It starts at 30 million $.

Shoe of the day

Muccia Prada for Miu Miu. Fashion is art, period.

Marat Safin

A former #1 on ATP, playing in Wimbeldon as I write this. He was born in Moscow to parents of Tatar descent. There's definitely something primal about him...

Couture week

Couture fashion week started yesterday in Paris. Featured here are pictures from Dior show, not very wearable, but oh so fabulous.

Aalto Vase

Designed in 1936 by the legendary Alvar Aalto, a Finnish architect and designer, this shape still remains a standard of modern design even decades after Aalto's death. People are still in love with it's simplicity. And I have one! Well, it's actually a candlestick, but it's an original Aalto:)

Shoe of the day

Alexander McQueen. If you want to channel your inner fairy princess, there's your pick.

Then or now?

Here's a selection of supermodels from the golden years of modeling (the 90's :) and some of today's fashion queens. Who do you prefer? For me, it's old school all the way...

My personal favourite

Now this is a guy who's got all cosmics elements working for him. I mean, look at him. And not only is he the most beautiful man that ever walked the face of the Earth, he's also very keen on preserving our planet. And he plays in a band. Ladies and gentleman, Adrian Grenier.

Spotted!

I see that I am going in the right direction with this blog. In one day, I have spotted not one, but two things mentioned in yesterday's posts. First, there was an article about Viktor&Rolf's doll house in today's slovenian newspaper Delo (last page) and second, I found Samantha's fish shoes in Ljubljana! True, they are way out of my price range, but I feel innerly fulfiled knowing that if by some cosmic inbalance I would be to suddenly come across a big pile of money, I could buy them in matter of minutes!
